Based on the success of trials and demonstrations, the Board has decided to engage a Washington, DC based lobbyist to advance the company's position so that Instacare can move to the forefront of the Stimulus priorities, which offer Cash for Clunkers-like incentives to physicians for the adoption of EMR technology. No other market provider can offer a physician a suite of robust, secure internet based EMR, patient medical history applications, and proposed treatment protocols with the storage of a main-frame computer that can be put to work right in the palm of the physician's hand after 15 minutes of training. We also will market a product designed with the hospital based physician in mind. Stimulus incentives for hospital EMR adoption are much higher."
In concluding his remarks, Mr. Berman stated, "Instacare Corp. has recently been contacted by two large healthcare firms, expressing interest in furnishing our cell phone based EMR product to their physician provider networks. Our intent is to explore the opportunities presented by both of these companies and also with any prospective companies pursuing alliances for our proprietary technologies. Progress on either front will be communicated to our shareholders over the next several weeks along with guidance. It has become apparent that our advanced medical technologies, particularly their adaptation to smart phones, when combined with the federal Stimulus, provides substantial physician financial incentives and has sparked interest across the medical landscape."
The Company's MDHand technologies allow physicians to gain access and securely store electronic medical records without the need of a stand-alone computer, tablet PC or PDA. The company estimates that the Verizon Windows phones will allow EMR permanent storage for up to 5,000 patients for up to 10 years. The Apple iPhone, Palm Pre and the BlackBerry phones are equally impressive although permanent storage is slightly less.
